Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT)

The Wytheville Farmers Market is proud to accept SNAP/EBT cards! EBT is an electronic system that allows a recipient to authorize transfer of their government benefits from a Federal account to a retailer account to pay for products received. After benefits are added to eligible household accounts, cardholders spend them by swiping their EBT card at the point of sale (POS) and then entering their PIN number. Visit our information desk at the market to learn more and have any of your questions answered.

You SNAP, we MATCH at Wytheville Farmers Market!

We are a part of the Virginia Fresh Match program that allows us to double your SNAP dollars when you shop at your local farmers market.  When you swipe your EBT card at Wytheville Farmers Market you will receive double your benefits for every $20 that you spend!  That means if you purchase something for $20 dollars or more, you will receive an additional $20 worth of VFM dollars to buy fresh/frozen fruits & vegetables, fresh mushrooms, herbs without additives of any kind, and food producing plants/seeds at the market.
