Farmacy Program
COLLABORATTING FOR A HEALTHIER COMMUNITY
Brock Hughes Medical Center (BHMC), the Wytheville Farmers Market (WFM) and Downtown Wytheville have been collaborating, with the common goal to improve the health of our community. In April, BHMC began offering a Healthy Lifestyle Series at the clinic every third Wednesday from 2-3. These classes focus on a different health topic each month and are free and open to the public. Each participant of the class receives a “farmacy voucher/produce prescription” that can be used to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at the Wytheville Famers Market. The Market, located at 210 W Spring Street, is open every Saturday from 8 am-12pm, May through October and every other Saturday from 10-12, November through April.
*Classes are held the 3rd Wednesday of every month (April - September) at 2:00 at the Brock Hughes Clinic. Stay Tuned for class topics.
